Workforce Development
ABC offers a
variety of training programs to prepare individuals to enter
or advance in the construction industry. Classes are taught
by highly skilled instructors at our main facility in
Broadview Heights and at satellite facilities in Findlay and
Perrysburg. We can also customize many of our programs to
meet your company's specific needs and offer them on-site
in your facility.
Our
APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
is registered through the Bureau of
Apprenticeship Training (BAT) and the State of Ohio
Apprenticeship Committee (SAC) and is certified
by the National Center for Construction and Education
Research (NCCER). We offer 3- and 4-year programs in various
trades including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
CONTINUING EDUCATION and SAFETY
courses are designed to enhance the skills of anyone
currently working in construction. Safety
classes include OSHA; Asbestos, Lead and Mold Awareness; and
Confined Space Entry and Rescue. Continuing Education
courses cover a variety of topics including electrical and
plumbing codes, fire alarm basics, motor controls, hanging
cabinetry and much more.
Construction is one of the largest employers in America
today and will continue to remain a stable industry, based
on the U.S. Department of Labor's employment projections.
We at ABC understand the importance of a well-trained
workforce and are committed to providing quality training to
meet the growing demands of the industry.
Feel free to contact the Workforce Development Staff if you
have questions about our programs or suggestions of new
courses for us to consider.
